If you are a Sales Executive in Industrial Software looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! You will be responsible for driving business growth and meeting annual orders targets for Emerson’s PKM (Process and Knowledge Management) / Enterprise Recipe Management software and services in assigned industries including life sciences and batch. Included in these responsibilities is developing and leading account penetration plans and the global Emerson team supporting these accounts.

The successful candidate will work remotely and have experience and a proven track record in selling software solutions to industrial clients, working across customer stakeholders with IT, automation, and process development. This individual will be an integral team member responsible for PKM Enterprise Recipe Management sales in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Land new customers for the PKM / Enterprise Recipe Management application in Life Sciences via pilots or direct software sales
  • Sell multi-year subscription licenses
  • Work with existing sales channel to close deals
  • Help develop lead generation / outbound marketing campaigns
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Minimum 3 years experience selling enterprise software solutions to IT decision makers (CIO, CTO, C-level targets)
  • An average of 30-35% travel

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ industry experience and experience or exposure to Life Sciences PLM / tech transfer experience
  • Proven track record as an enterprise sales/account manager in the IT (Informational Technology) and enterprise software field with annual individual Orders responsibility of > $2M

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $112,000-$179,000 + OTE, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to this role.
